About

Jon Sherwood is a leader in the Asheville Church Network in North Carolina where he enjoys the outdoors, disc golf, and his family. He holds degrees from the University of Florida, the Athens Institute of Ministry, Columbia International University, and a DMin from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. His doctoral research focus was on Christian nonviolence and peacemaking.

While Jon loves the ministry, he didn't grow up religious or with the dream to one day be a minister. He knows what it's like to have doubts and to question the sincerity of religious leaders and institutions. He strives to treat people with respect and dignity while expressing his heartfelt beliefs about Jesus and the Christian faith.
